Car has rough idle and bucks while driving, also has shift issues driving. RPMs are high shifting into to 3rd.

Hi,
This could be the result of a few different things. The first thing I would suggest is to check for diagnostic trouble codes. This vehicle has an OBD1 system that doesn't require a scan tool to retrieve codes.
Follow the directions in this link and let me know what you find:
