Car idles rough in & out of gear.P0172 code (bank 1 system too rich)

Thank you for your time & effort. I have replaced spark plugs, as well as the air & fuel filters. I have also cleaned the throttle valve with no results.

Have you checked fuel pump pressure?

I haven't checked the fuel pump pressure. Actually I didn't know you could. Would that be something I could do myself? I consider myself mechanically inclined, and am trying to avoid taking it to a garage. Thank you again for your help.
