Rough idle

Diagnostic fault codes never say to replace parts. They only indicate the circuit or system that needs further diagnosis. In the case of the TPS you must first do a visual inspection of the wiring and terminals in all connectors. If nothing obvious is found the next step is to measure the voltages on all of the wires with the sensor still plugged in. The voltage readings will indicate whether the sensor is defective or there is a hidden wiring problem.
