When at a red light or at a stop my car will begin to shake and it has turned off a few times. I’ve already changed spark plugs and ignition coils, and cleaned throttle body. The rpm idle of the car seems relatively low. In the video I rev the engine to nearly 4,000 RPMs and the air to fuel / ratio will fluctuate and the car begins to shake moments after that. There hasn’t been a check engine light but a few days ago after putting gas I got a “check fuel inlet “ message on my dash.

It sounds like you may have a vacuum leak, I would check the engine when it is cold only, by following this guide:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-use-an-engine-vacuum-gauge

Also, you could have an MAF sensor that is going out as well. I would remove the sensor and try to clean it.

This guide can help as well:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/mass-air-flow-service

The sensor location is in the images below.

Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens. Also, when you replaced the spark plug did you use OEM?

Hello, I just wanted to give a quick update on my car since it has now been fixed. I was also reading up on a common issue that these newer model Mustangs have in a Facebook S550 Mustang group Forum. Some people in the group had similar issues to mine that they didn’t have a check engine light, car was shaking at idle. I also did notice my gas mileage had gotten worse too. But they put it out there that the problem was a VVT Solenoid. 2 weeks ago, while driving I finally got a check engine light; I took it to AutoZone and received code P0022. Took it to Ford a few days later just in case it wasn’t the cam phasers, and they diagnosed the vehicle with a failing VVT Solenoid. After fixing the VVT solenoid in bank 2 all has been well with my vehicle.
