Are they controlled through the BCM along with any other lights?

If they are BCM controlled, can I add a relay that can be added to disable these lights, through another added switch?

Those are all fed from the same circuits as the taillights, plate lamps, and parking lights. The BCM turns on the park lamp relay and all of them come on. The only way I could see to turn off the roof lights would probably be to find the roof harness and add a switch to the violet wire with a gray stripe.

I will dig for the harness/connectors and see what comes up. I would prefer to connect wherever there may be an existing connection, so that I don't impact warranty.

Thanks for the quick response.

There are two connectors in the system after it leaves the front fuse carrier. One is buried in the dash the other is behind the trim on the left A pillar (drivers' side) doesn't say if it's at the top or bottom though. It is a 2-wire connector with a ground (black) and the power (violet/gray) wires in it. You could switch the ground side.

Sorry but the truck is located many hours away and I don't have immediate access. I hope it's not a problem to update when I get my hands on the truck.

Jeff,

No problem whatsoever. I didn't realize that, and I was just curious. Take your time. We'll be here.

Okay, great. I was worried I didn't follow one of the rules. Thanks for your patience.
