Rod bearing

I want to buy a 98 Honda accord EX I believe it is a6 cylinder 5-speed manual the guy says it has power rod bearing knocking and or going out, I am pretty mechanically inclined I've just never replaced a rod bearing I was wondering how difficult it would be and an estimate on the cost for parts.

Don't even consider buying this car as the engine needs ot come out and a nother crankshaft and bearings will need to be replaced. Unless you can get this car for very very cheap. It wold be at least $1200 for you to fix that and nothing else.
