Some years ago I had a back up light that didn’t work so I jumped the one that worked to fix the problem. Now I think the neutral safety switch failed completely and now I have no back up lights. Can the neutral safety switch work sending power to one light and not to the other one? Fuses are all good.

What did you jump the other light to? Yes, if the neutral start switch can cause an issue with the back up lamps. Take a look at the wiring diagram and other attachment about this switch.

If it were me, I would check the switch or just replace it and see what happens. They appear to not be too expensive to just try it.

Let me know what you find. Thanks

One of the back up lights worked and I jumped a wire from it to the other and both lights worked until now.

Okay. That is what I thought because that would make the most sense. Since that is the case and the fuse is good, the switch is the next most likely thing. However, I would just go to the 15A fuse and check for power and then start tracing the wire until you don't have power. At that point you will have found your issue.

Let me know if you have questions on this. Thanks

Okay, after further review I changed out the neutral safety switch and the back up lights work. Thanks for your help!
