reverse light not working?

I'm having a problem with my reverse lights.

i had removed the radio and installed a android radio.
i installed a new back up camera and connected it (fused) to the reverse light in the rear. the old factory one was not working.

i checked it with a multimeter and it was working before i made the connection. now it does not work.
what did i do wrong?

So, what isn't working, both reverse lights or only the one you connected the camera to? Looking at the wiring diagram, the radio and the backup lamps do connect at the same power feed which is controlled by the ECM through the network. Now if both lights are out then the first thing, I would do is disconnect the camera and see if they come back on. It's possible that the camera signal is connected internally and its connection to the radio are combined to cause a problem.
So, is it just one light or both? Or is it the camera or?
