Reverse gear hard to engage

Hi, reverse gear is usually tricky to engage. Sometimes I have to move it to first and then into reverse. All other gears are absolutely fine and pulls well. I had clutch replaced as needed it and this didn't resolve the issue. I heard this issue is common with Ford's but unsure what this problem is. Anyone had a similar issue that could help.
