Reverse gear not selecting

When I put it on drive, it moved forward, but when I try to put it on reverse it will not move but jerking.

How long since you changed the fluid and filter? I would start there.

It has been long for a while now.
But I discovered that the engine oil is low though it is a little bit higher that the low marked line on the stick for checking the Oil gauge. Its not even close to the full marked line on the stick. I checked it this morning.

Engine oil level has nothing to do with the transmission operation.

Thank you sir. But it has been long the car is serviced (changing of the engine oil). I also discovered this light showing on the dashboard screen.
