would it run okay? It is an older truck and do not want to stick anymore in it than necessary. just a back up truck do not drive it much.

Can i replace front resonator with a pipe?

You can do this but it will be louder and can throw off engine pulses which could cause some performance issues. However, I doubt you will notice any issues.
However, I would suggest shopping around because I found what appears to fit your truck under $100.00. Clearly it is more then just a pipe but these parts are not too expensive. Thanks

Just here to add my 2 cents. You won't notice any performance difference removing the resonator and switching to straight pipe. The resonator just acts as a back up for the muffler. You won't lose any back pressure or performance, gas mileage but you might notice a slight sound change. Switching to the straight pipe might make it slightly louder.
