How to reset security system?

Had to change the motor in car. After I got everything back together went to crank it by and all the lights came on the dash. The security light starts flashing really fast. How do I reset the security system? I've googled it and tried all the things I could find but nothing has worked.

Hello,

According to Ford this is the procedure:
Hold the panic button on the key fob for 2 seconds. Close all of the doors and while using the key lock and use the key to unlock the lock the driver's door. If that doesn't work remove the negative battery cable for 15 seconds and reconnect.

Okay. so, I tried what you said and it's still not working. I call myself doing it just as you said step by step but I'm going to try it one more time in just a few minutes to make sure.

Let me know how it goes. This might require a special tool to reset, or you could have a faulty immobilizer. Which can be scanned to see what error code it is providing, that also requires special scan tool.
