Need help!
Anyone who can help, please let me know. I would appreciate it very much.

Looking for the procedure on how to reset the Anti Theft in the car listed above after the car battery has been replaced.

The battery died when the car was initially locked, and therefore the battery was replaced when the anti-theft system considers the car still locked. That triggered the Anti Theft System.

We have since then replaced the battery but the Anti Theft System is still deployed.

We are able to disarm and arm (unlock and lock doors) using the remote control and the master key but can not start the car. We can turn on the ignition but can not start (crank or turn over) the engine. Also the radio, AC and fan, and windows are inoperable. We can only lock, unlock, and turn on the ignition.

I am looking for the solution/procedure on how to reset the system.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello,

I would disconnect the battery (negative) and touch the the cable to the positive battery terminal for one minute, forcing a hard reboot of the system by discharging the system capacitors. Here is a guide that will help as well:

Please run down this guide and report back.

No.

If the Security is Armed and I put the Master Key in the Ignition Switch, the security light goes off indicating that it is disarmed. Still, the ignition will turn on but you can not start (crank or turn over) the engine. No Light Flashes when you do that.

If the Security is Disarmed, there is no security light on or flashing; and when I put the Master Key in the Ignition Switch, no security light goes on, indicating that it is disarmed. Still, the ignition will turn on but you can not start (crank or turn over) the engine. No Light Flashes when you do that either.

Great, then the security system sounds like it is working and disarmed. Can I ask if the cables or a jump to the battery?Backwards?

Yes, the security system appears to be working.

No, the battery cables were not placed backwards. I was very careful about that and made sure it was installed correctly.

However, when I brought the old battery in to exchange it for a new one (as a core), I asked the technician to test both the new and old battery. Obviously the new battery was okay but when we tested the old battery, the polarity of the old battery was reversed. The positive became the negative and the negative became the positive. The tester kept on saying the cables were connected wrongly, even though they were not - positive to positive and negative to negative. When we reversed the connection - positive to negative and negative to positive, the tester worked. From that result, we can conclude that the polarity of the battery was reversed. How, I do not know!

I hope this information helps and thank you for not giving up on this case yet? I am still doing some research too and still waiting for someone to come up with a working solution.

Thank you again for your help.

Okay, lets run the codes to see what kind of failure the system is having. Also is the security light flashing when you turn the key to crank still? Here is a guide:

Please run down this guide and report back.

The OBD2 Port is also locked out.

I had tried plugging in the OBD2 code reader but it too is locked out.

What I mean by locked out is when you plug in the OBD2, it does not connect at all. It does not light up or read anything. It is dead.

The OBD2 Port was also affected when the Anti Theft engaged.
