How to change the turn signal switch? I got the steering wheel off and the three screws that hold the switch in. The bezel/housing is loose but the bearing and switch will not pull out. I am lost on this one. Is there any pictures or step by step instructions that I can get? Can you guys help me?

Good morning.

After you have the wheel off, did you remove the button for the four way flasher switch?
Disconnect the connector for the connector under the dash. Then the bracket for the column needs to be released. Then the wires will have to be removed from the connector and pull up the harness and switch.

What have you done so far?

1. Remove the steering wheel as described above.
2. Withdraw the turn signal lever arm mounting screws and remove the lever from the cancelling mechanism.
3. Withdraw the gearshift control lever retaining pin and remove the lever (on models so equipped).
4. Push in the hazard warning switch knob and unscrew the knob (if so equipped).
5. Remove the steering column mast jacket upper and lower covers.
6. Remove the automatic transmission dial indicator housing (on models so equipped).
7. Withdraw the three screws which secure the turn signal control assembly to the signal housing and remove the assembly.
8. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.

I loosen took out three screws holding switch down the housing is loose pulls up about a half an inch, stops that is it/lost again. Do I pry it/use a puller, I can see the bearings and ring that holds the bearings, need advice, help. Thanks brother buzz. It does not have any four way button or switch that I can see.

The wiring usually gets hung up about half way down the column.
Did you disconnect the harness at the bottom of the column?
