Replacing transmission with a used one?

Do i ab­solutely have to take the rom out of my trans­mis­sion and put it in­side of the used one be­fore in­stalling the used one onto my car? both are the re0f10a. Mine is 1xf5a and the used one is 1xf4c.

Hi,

Yes, it is set up specifically for your vehicle. If you don't use the original one, it will cause likely cause drivability issues.

Additionally. make sure the gear ratio is the same in both transmissions. I believe the part numbers you provided indicate different ratios. You will likely need to contact a dealer for that information. It isn't something I have in a manual.
