Replacing spark plugs

As we all know that my truck listed above have 8 plugs.I'm sure I'll have to take the intake manifold and A/C compressor off to get to the plugs on the left side. If so, are there any gaskets between the upper intake man? And the lower intake? Also, do I have to take the fuel rail off as well?Chilton's book is not too specific on how to do this.

You don't need to remove the intake manifold to get to the plugs. You only need to remove the air filter housing to get to them easily. The first image is the right side with the air box out of the way. For the other plugs you need an extension with a swivel plug socket like the second image to go between the AC compressor and the head and to get to them easier.
If this is the first time you have changed them you will likely want some carb cleaner and compressed air to clean out around the plugs in the head before you remove them. They build up crud in the tubes.

First of all, thank you so much for your fast response. Why my engine looks different from the ones I've seen on YouTube and Chilton's book? Even the PCV is in a different location than what Chilton's says and YouTube shows. For instance, the intake man is smaller than the ones I've seen.

That looks like someone did some painting but it looks like a 2.3 to me. As far as Chiltons, they have slipped in quality over the years.
