replacing same fascia that forcibly removed

Roy. hey, just saw message. i can shoot you pics in the am. two pieces i recovered; the bumper/grille intact and plastic piece that mounts behind it.

Roy,i got front fascia on and secure,but the hood,when it's closed will depending on surface ,the hood will pop loose causing it to only stay closed. Because the first part of latch keeps it the hood from opening and causing a very bad situation.. the latch mechanism does not appear damaged. how do i get it to work properly?

There should be 2 bolts for the hood latch. Loosen them up and lift up the latch a little and tighten the bolts. Then close the hood and see if it stays.

after going to 3 stores to find a socket to fit i'm going to go and see if loosing the 3 bolts lifting up the unit and tightening. will let you know.

Okay Roy, I loosened up three bolts didn't get much play, it is a little better.. i was just thinking when this happened I drove the car a couple of days without facia on the car. the hood double latched no problem.. any thoughts?

This is a result of the accident. The mount for the latch is bent not allowing the hood to latch securely.

If you cannot get the adjustment correct, you will have to have the car checked to see if the bar it is mounted on is bent.

Okay, then make sure the facia is not blocking the hood too close.

i will try Roy. i'm going to go out there in awhile i also think facia is blocking full closing of hood. it is still hot here and my immune system is still messed up with effects of chemo. i will get back at you ASAP.. thanks again for all the help.
