Replacing motor, can it be removed from the top?

Is it possible to remove just the engine from the top?

The engine comes out of the bottom, start by draining the coolant and disconnecting the battery, the good news is the A/C system you can leave charged because the compressor can be left inside the engine bay. The instructions below show you how to do the job and the special tools needed such as an engine hoist/cradle. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.

I am aware, what an asking if it's possible to just remove the engine alone from too.

I don't think so, the unit comes out with the transmission as well.

But transmission can be split, so what I am asking is why not? And whether you have had one done before.

I have not, if you think it will work, give it a shot, I went by what the manual says.

Came out easy from top like any other motor and transmission I removed before for those interested.
