HI I just did a engine swap on my accord it has a f23a1 2.3 sohc w/vtech I got a jdm engine and it was a f23 sohc w/vtech. I only used the new engines block as my car was still running when I did this, anyway I am about to power it up, and I am wondering is there anything special like resetting the computer, or something else I should do. Also I had removed the distributor and for got to mark its position but there are only two possible ways for it to go on and I believe it is with the line on the distributor pointing towards the little "o" mark on the cam is this correct? Thanks for your help!

Since it has a distributor it should point to the #1 spark plug wire on the cap (assuming you are at TDC #1).

Since you are only using the JDM block (all sensors and manifolds are from the old engine?), It should fire right up.

Make sure you have oil in it and add coolant until full.

I installed a Toyota JDM engine in a Corolla. The block is identical to the US version, but the manifolds, sensors are different.

I removed the manifolds/sensors from the old engine and put them on the JDM engine, once the fuel pump was up to pressure she fired right up.

The PCM will learn proper engine parameters within several miles.
