Replacing an alternator I cannot get the top and bottom bolts

I cannot get the top and bottom bolts of the alternator to align with the bolt holes in the inside if the bracket.

This is a little tricky because it is pretty tight in there. So, they are showing to remove the tie rod on that side so that you can gain a little more room.
