Replacement of timing drive components

I removed the LH hydraulic chain tensioner easily and it is not going in smoothly the way it came out. I think the plastic guide is in the way and restricts the rest threading or screwing in place. What do you advice?

This is a big problem with Ford engines, hit the pin with some WD 40 and wait it out for a bit, then with a small butane torch heat the area around the pin this should help loosen the pin and free the rust.
