I've removed the original blower motor assembly in my car which is one assembly and the replacement blower assembly consists of a mounting plate and blower motor (two pieces). I'm unable to get the mounting plate into the HVAC box because of the proximity and angle of the floor. Can the HVAC box be loosened so as to allow slight movement (in turn allow the mounting plate to be installed into the HVAC box) without removing the dash first?

Good morning,

I posted the procedure below for you to view. Nothing that requires removal of the dash or the heater box.

Did you rotate it it before trying to remove? Did you peel back the carpet as well?
