My boyfriend's sister wrecked her van and needed a transmission, she had one dropped off by a friend for my boyfriend to put in. He pulled the bad one and upon seeing them side by side noticed that while they were the same transmission, the one brought to replace the bad one had one more connection spot on it. He decided to open up the bad one and see if he could fix it with the replacers insides if need be. He determined the internal pump was bad and replaced it with the good one from the other tanny. They were identical and the one in the replacers was good and hers wasn't. He put hers back together and put it back into the van. I should mention that in the meantime he pulled the filter and cleaned it (money is super tight) drained the old fluid put the old but now cleaned filter back in and put new fluid in it. Fired it up and test drove it. It has reverse and 1st but slips and goes into limp mode at second gear. The scanner throws p0700 and p032 codes. My question is if you could possibly help with diagrams of the tcm and any plugs/connectors going to tcm and any information he may need to troubleshoot through these codes. Ie. Speed sensor info, ways to reset tcm or find more specific codes pointing to the problem. Thank you guys. He's been working on the van day and night and researching everything to try and get it going. We take care of his parents who have medical issues and live in a small town and money is tight as for most families. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Yep, it is rough for many right now, let's hope it gets better, good job taking care of the parents, we all need to stick together. Can you please recheck the code number p032? We are missing one digit.

P0700 - Transmission Control System (MIL Request)

So this is telling us there is a problem is all, we need the other code to help, here is the TCM wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works and which wires go where. Also, this guide can help you run connection tests.

It could be the input shaft speed sensor issue. Can I ask if the speedometer is working? Check out the images (below). Please upload pictures or videos in your response of any problems so we can see what to help you with.

Sorry about the typos. The second code is p0732. Yes, he says the speedometer is working. Thank you for the diagrams. I'm going to pass them along to him. I'll keep posting about how the situation develops from here. Thank you again

So this code can be cause the input shaft sensor is weak or the transmission is having issues internally.

P0732 - Gear 2 Incorrect Ratio

Here is the location of the sensor so you can check it out. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
