Hello, sorry to hear about your situation, most likely when they drilled into the Ignition Switch is shorted out some circuits in the steering column. Have you checked any fuses yet? There is a 10amp Crank Fuse 20, as well as multiple Fusible Links coming off the battery positive post, the Alternator, and a Battery Junction Block. The Fusible Links can be alittle more difficult to test, they are not regular fuses,, they are a section of wire made to burn and open the circuit if there is too much current flow.
in the 3rd diagram are some Fusible Links circled in Green. To test them if they are not obviously burned threw, You will usually have to pierce the wire after the Fusible link slightly to see if power is going through them. Or find the end of it and check for power there with a test light.
The 1st and 2nd diagram is the Starter circuit for your truck. Its pretty basic, but I think you'll find some blown fuses. The Crank Fuse 20 10amp is in the Ignition Panel Fuse box, so that is probably on the driverside lower dash. If you need any other diagrams just let us know.
Also does the check engine light come on when you try cranking the truck over? It should while cranking or at Key On.
