No worries I can help you get it running. So you get these codes after you cleared them and the engine is not running correct? Can you please upload a short video of the engine cranking from under the hood? That would help me see what is going on.

P0123 — Throttle Position Sensor / APP Sensor Circuit High Input
P0113 — Intake Air Temperature Sensor Circuit High Input
P1217 — Engine Over Temperature
P0420 — Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 1

If these codes will not clear without the engine running you might have a bad PCM. Fist I would check the main engine wiring harness ground connections. Also, check the fuses under the hood as well. Here is a video to help us see what system is missing.

Please go over this video and get back to me.

Okay and sorry I meant to tell you that this is a 2.5 l motor so what I did today was around a compression check and the compressions pretty bad on all four cylinders so I recheck my timing and the chains off quite a bit for some reason I'm not nowhere near a master mechanic you know I do work on cars for a living but this is probably the you know one of the bigger jobs that I would I would this is the first time I've dug this deep into a car like this anyway and I've done I've done Hondas and you know earlier models but this was a little this one a little more a little more above my pay grade but anyway I have a I do have Mitchell one pro demand on my phone so I've been using that as far as my timing marks and all that stuff I got it on TVC right now like I said the change the chains off completely off on the marks so if I'm and I could be wrong on this but that would cause a low compression and and of course the no start unless I'm wrong on that so but again yes I do have I do have support now I have spark I have fuel it just doesn't try to start and it doesn't it just turns over and so I'm fixing to put the I'm fixing to set the timing chains back on their marks on the sprockets and roll the motor over again and see if it's jumping for some reason but like I said I could be wrong as far as you know the compression all four cylinders if the time is off is but that's you know if that would be a would cause low compression or so correct me if I'm wrong but that's where I'm at right now and I'm actually in the middle of this right now so and I'm pretty much out of money now I bought this car for a thousand bucks I know it was running it was towed it was running when it was towed but it had been hot cuz there was a hole in the radiator and like I said earlier the you know water was coming out all for exhaust ports when I got it so it hasn't ran since I got the damn thing and it's that's where I'm at right now and I will let you know soon as here as soon as I get this time and change sit back up and let me know if I'm wrong or if I ride or I mean anything else you think I need to do or should do and I will go from there I appreciate your time and get back to me thank you

What are the compression readings? Yes this will effect the engine running and yes the timing marks being off will cause the engine not to start. Also, the valves might be damaged as well. These engine do not like to be cranked over with the timing chain marks off but we will cross that bridge when we get to it.

Compression under 50 cross cylinders. Timing was off or I should say I think I screwed up and rotated the crank with the chains off so my cams and my camshafts were you know coming timing marks were correct but I think I have turned the motor 180 out not even thinking about it on the on the crank hand when I had the balancer bolt you in the crank to turn the motor over and I want to take it off I thought I could bust it loose with my ratchet but I didn't so then I took use my impact when then it turned and you know off the mark of course so I'm pretty sure I rotated 180 out not even thinking about the damn chains being off pretty sure that's what happened I know right now it's on TDC everything's on the marks where it should be the way it should be I haven't got to haven't got the chains on yet I was going to last night I know what I got tired I went to bed so that's I'm fixing to get out there and put these chains on now and see what happens I'm kind of laying in though on a replacing the motor It's kind of where I'm at with it this doesn't work that's probably I think the only way to go I did get some more information on this vehicle apparently it had a hole in the radiator I don't know how long the lady bit this lady been driving it so I mean obviously it got hot because it was water in the cylinders when I got it I bought it from a wrecking a tow yard this lady passed away is sitting her tow yard for 40 days I paid $1,000 for the car to get out of there under the impression though that it was running when it was when it was you know towed there but now to come to find out that yeah it was running when it was towed but it obviously got extremely hot when it was towed and like I said you know I got it when I got in it we jumped it off and it sounded like a sound like you know broken timing belt and he goes turn the car over just you know cranked over real fast and I was like oh that's not a good thing That doesn't sound good at all so I'm kind of with you either on the bent valve thing which I didn't I didn't see any contact on the Pistons for the valve sitting and and probably no way to really visually tell if valves are bent at least not with my capabilities anyway but I'm not sure if you know it just replacing the head would fix this issue or if I just replace the whole motor if this doesn't work

Yep, I would installed the chains correctly and then do another compression test. Also, if you remove the valve cover one or more valve will be sitting down without the camshafts opening the valve, this is a sign the valves are bent.

So this is the issue I keep running into I can put this thing on the marks 100 times and rotate the motor over by hand and it will never line back up on the marks on the chain not one time has it got done that for me on either side and I don't see the chain slipping anywhere but I'm getting real aggravated I've been messing with this thing for 2 weeks now and I can line my marks up but the the f****** blue and the two blue links and the orange link will never line back up on those marks but I can be lined up on Mark's on my sprockets but not on my chain That makes any sense The chain will never line back up and if the chains if I put the chain back on the marks as you can see in this picture I just sent then the sprockets or not lined up

And okay when you say the you can say that you say that I can tell when the valve cover is off which it is that I can tell if the valves are bent but I don't I don't understand what I would be looking at as far as to tell exactly what you're saying there I don't I basically I don't I don't know how to I don't know what I'm looking at so I'll send you a picture of what the cancel look like when they're on their marks right now

I mean basically the cams look I mean identical as far as the way they're low down I mean of course opposite of each other in the way they rolled over is you know the exhaust side is would be identical to the intake side except you know reversed or upside down you know so the two loaves in the middle that are up those loads will be down on the on the other cam so everything I mean to me everything looks cam-wise looks correct and I could be wrong cuz that's not that's way out of my expertise there but I'm almost hoping you'll just that what you just said about the vent valves is what it is and I can just be done with this thing and price wise it seems just as feasible to put a whole motor in versus putting doing the head so

Okay, so first the mark will never line up again once the chain is installed, the only way to check the marks is to remove the chain and try it again. Next in this engine you cannot tell if the valves are bent from the top unless you look for play between the camshaft and the valve spring cap once the cam lobe is completely away from the valve cap. Thanks for the images.

Okay so didn't start but it definitely tried to start so improvement but new issue I have no power to any of the fuses inside the cab but all my dash lights come on radio comes on and everything seems no more but I checked everything with my test light and I couldn't get anything on any of the fuses inside I don't know if that would might I don't know if that would keep anything in there will keep it from starting but I'm just curious why don't have power there now when I did before I get some gas I will put some gas in it cuz it's flashing it 25 mph or 25 miles left so I don't know if there's any gas in it or not engage says there's not but I don't have any brakes on here to to start on that either so I'm determined for this to run I've got too much time and too much time and money in it now that has to run

Yep, I would put some gas in it and check the fusible links in the main power fuse panel under the hood. Check out the images (below). Please let me know what happens.

Hey what's up sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday I didn't mess with the car yesterday I broke my foot like last week and I just had to get off of it for day but so I got gas in it and it actually I mean it acts like it wants to start but it's not like a good one to start but at least is is trying to attempt to maybe I'm thinking maybe put a mini put some oil down the cylinders again since it's set for a while maybe it'll get better compression maybe I haven't even looked it I forgot about the fuses till I just read your thing but that's my downfall right there is the wiring and understanding what I'm looking at on that diagram but I just get lost in the wiring thing but it's still tried to it's still I say it's I'll see if I can send a video on here I'll go out there in a minute and see if I can record it I don't know if you able to tell not but I'll see if I can record it and if you can hear it I'll send that here shortly probably easiest thing to do

Yep, that engine does not sound as good as I want it too, lets check the compression to confirm. This video will help us.

You may need to charge the battery as well. You can rent a compression gauge set from the auto parts store for free. Let me know how it goes. I hope your foot feels better.

Yeah I know I was hoping to come up with this car but it's not happening pick n pull offered me 800 for it I've got probably 1500 in it think I'm going take the 800 probably best deal I can get, compression all under 50 this motor must of gotten hot hot t stats are white. 200 000 miles used motor bout a 800 here, but trans probably be next issue and unless you can give me a good reason to put motor in it I think time to part ways with this Altima lol. I greatly appreciate your guidance and responses I kinda figured it was done but had to give a shot. Thanks again
