Replaced crank position sensor. Solid check engine light. Was not on before changing. Have tried hard reset. Disconnecting battery. Comes right back on when restarting. Next step to read code. Jump test port. Proper procedure on how to do this? I am lead to believe computer has to relearn after installing new CPS?

Good morning,

Why did you replace the crank sensor? What is the issue you have that led you to replace it?

Removing the cable does not reset anything. It just made the ECM forget the code is one was set? Did you have the codes checked for the system?

What brand sensor did you use? Did you inspect the connector for any damage?
