I would like detailed instructions for replacing the water pump (leaking). I have been told I need to be careful when refilling the cooling system so as not to leave any air trapped. How do I do that? Also, do I need to use any special type anti-freeze? Thank you. Mike

See pictures for removal and install plus bleeding. Pictured is Cobra with cross pipe. Use what is on label under hood or check at auto parts if it only shows a Ford spec for coolant use compatible.

Never did say thank you but I am now. Been sick. Starting job today. How does the water pump pulley come off? Do I need a puller? Thanks. Mike

Try spraying some penetrating oil around the pulley and tapping with a small hammer it may come off otherwise you'll need a puller to get it off but it should come off without it.
