I cannot get the trans half axle out of the hub. I pounded on it with nut on end and used a air tool on it, but it will not come loose.

What happens on those is the C clip is caught and dropped down not allowing it to come out of the spline. Push the axle inward and turn it quarter turns as you try to leverage it out do you have a large pry bar? Works better if you can use that right at the flange.

Sorry, 50/50 shot. Spray it down with wd40 and let it sit. Then hammer it out use the nut on the end to help it will be no good once you are down some of those can stick in there good. Big hammer, if you can use a large breaker bar and hold tension on it while you hammer.

Thanks, that is basic what I have done. I put it back on the auto hoping the wd40 will get into it so it will come off. My parts supply man said some people use a puller.

Yes, they do have a puller it bolts to the lug nuts and then you tighten the center bolt which pushes the axle out.
