Replace head gasket

Not 100% sure of where the timing should be when reinstalling the head. I am getting mixed advice.
Some ppl say all pistols must be level...Some ppl say 1&4 must be up(TDC).
PLEASE help. I know where the timing marks are. Is there a guide that anyone knows off.

Or how should I do it.....

Can you post the cars VIN or engine size and engine code so i can find the correct info for you.

Hello, sorry for the slow response, the #1 piston must be at tdc,, here is the diagram needed.
