Replace right side drive axle?

1984 TOYOTA CAMRY
200,000 MILES • 2.2L • AUTOMATIC

The right side drive axle goes through the motor mount and has a bearing that is kept inside the mount by a bolt. With the bolt removed and the wheel hub removed and everything out of the way, it seems the bearing is stuck. I've rented a side hammer but there is no good place to attach it. So I'm rapping the ale with a chain, bolts through the chain and attached to the puller that came with the hammer. I don't know what else to do. Got any ideas?

Hi:

There are two things that need to be removed for the bearing to come off. There is a retaining bolt and a snap ring. Have you removed both?

I attached the only two pics I could find. Let me know if this helps. Also, you will pry the axle from the transmission once the bearing is removed.
