Can I replace the belt without replacing the air conditioner pulley?

And if so, what size belt?

Hi,

I'm not sure I understand. First, are you referring to the accessory drive belt? Also, is the AC compressor locked up?

If that is the case, I would suggest removing the compressor and installing an AC bypass pulley. See pic below. Doing this eliminates trying to reroute the belt, determine the correct length, and if the original belt wasn't damaged, it can be reused. A new belt will likely be near the same price as the bypass pulley.

Note: There are three different 3.0L engines used in this vehicle. If you could, let me know the 8th digit in your VIN so I can confirm the attached will work. The 8th digit should be one of the following. S, 2, or U.

Let me know.

Joe
