We need a diagram and instructions to replace this belt that is stuck in between two of the wheels listed. It only goes around those 3 things and we have been trying all day but no luck. Please help us girl car dummies.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

When you use the word cam, I'm confused. Do you have the engine apart? If not and you are referring to the accessory drive belt (runs the alternator, A/C, and so on) here are the directions for removal and replacement. The attached pictures correlate with the directions.

1. Insert a 1/2-inch drive ratchet in the drive belt tensioner (6).
2. Rotate the drive belt tensioner clockwise in order to release the belt tension.
3. Remove the drive belt from the power steering pulley (1).
4. Slowly return the drive belt tensioner to its original position.
5. Remove the drive belt from the remaining pulleys (2-5).

Let me know if that is what you needed. I'm questioning it because you said there are only three things.

Let me know.

Take care,
Joe

I say that because that is what my husband said to me. I asked if it was the serpentine belt and he said no it only went around water pump A/C and tension pulley? Any way we had the serpentine belt of 3 ribs and 11mm or 24 inches or something. That was the only belt it called for the other belt was 6 ribs and 88 inches. The one that came off the car had no readable markings because it was shredded but we could see it was 3 ribs and in length it was no bigger than about 30 inches or so if that. But my husband tried every way he could and he said it was about 3 inches too short the new belt that is. So he said it wasn't the main drive belt it was the one on the other end or side of the motor where the belt went around the water pump and 2 other things. So I thought the v belt but he said no it was the water pump and overhead cam belt but it didn't pull up like that when I tried to look it up. According to everything we have the correct new belt. So I'm confused and he is still working on getting the belt back on my car since around noon on Friday. I even put our VIN number on the search site and still it only calls for the short serpentine belt. So he needs help because I need my car up and running again. He don't know wth he is doing. Excuse my text language. So if I if it's helpful or not because I can't find any diagrams for how the small belt goes or where it should go to what.

Welcome back:

The picture I sent shows the A/C compressor. It's number 4 in the picture. Can you upload a picture of exactly what you guys are working on?

Let me know.

Take care,
Joe
