Sometimes my car over runs itself when started, as if it is trying to fire up, when it is in fact running. I blip the accelerator, and it stops, but I wonder what could cause this. I love this car, and haven't had much trouble. Help

Is the vehicle button or key start?

The start is button and keyless, so you dont have to put the key card in the slot. It only does it occasionally, but can be a bit of a pain.

On this model with no key to actually turn the starter is controlled by sensor. It sends a sigal to the pcm to stop the starter motor. The sensor could be dirty and needs to be cleaned. I don't have a diagram for location the renault scenic has not been released in the U.S. I'm sure your local mechanic can do this job cheaply. If not, it's renault i'm afraid. It can only get worse and damage starter
