the check emisions light on my renault grand scenic has appeared on my dash and the performance has gone poor just wondered how to fix problem myself has christmas as left flat broke and can not afford any costley garage bills

You will have to get the code read first, this will help identify any problems with the engine management system, causing your problem. get the code and see what is says first.
