1998 Renault Scenic Manual

If my engine was replaced 6 months ago would the head gasket been replaced aswell.h

was the engine new or reconditioned .. new engine = new gasket ... reconditioned = new gasket .. but if you bought an engine from recycle yard then not a new gasket ??
