1982 Other Renault Models Engine stalling and sometimes won'

Hello,

I can be idling quite happily but when I put the accelerator down to move off, the engine stalls. Sometimes this results in the engine failing to re-start.

I was testing the accelerator today and I found that while parked, I can be happily idling but if I put my foot down sharply then the engine stalls straight away?
