2005 Renault Megane 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

Hi,
My daughter has a Megane cabriolet 2005 and the drivers door window will not work when pressing switch, but it does work when she puts the roof down. A mechanic has looked at it and they have said it is not the regulator or switch, but dont know what the problem is. Does anybody know anything it might be?.
Any help would be appreciated.

I would recheck or get a second opinion on the motor/regulator .. it is a common fault on this vehicle for the guide cable to snag up inside the regulator .. have the mechanic put a 12v supply direct to motor to see if the window goes up and down all the way !
