hi my car failed mot on the cv joint gaiter not securely mounted to its housing can you tell me what this means and give me a price to get it fixed thanks

the CV boot (gaitor).. is a rubber cover around the CV joint to hold in the grease the joint needs !! the "boot" has clips on either end to hold it in place one or both of these are broken and need replacing .. the clips are around 50p each and can be replaced in 5 mins .. but the garage will charge at least 30 mins labor .. hope this helps
