1999 Renault Megane starter motor not working at all

1999 Renault Megane 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

i have checked the battery, i have lights working without dimming whilst turning the key but no noise from solenoid or starter motor. is there a common electrical fault i could look for? it has recently passed an mot and was fine before.

use a multimeter to check you have a hot/live wire at the starter motor @ cranking .. if you do, repalce the starter motor !
