1997 Renault Megane Manual 100000 miles

the door latch on rear os door is stuck shut on a p reg megane 1.9 diesel i have can you give me points to try opening it up and where i might be able to get a diagram of the lock and is it an mot failure

yes it is an mot failure .. everything fitted to the vehicle has to be working correctly .. you need to get the inner panel off the door .. not an easy task with it closed but it has to be off to reach the mechanism and open the door .. usaully it is just the connector bar that has popped out of it's holder !
