1996 Renault Megane Car does not show speed while driving

Hi Guys,

Can anyone please help me here? My car does not show any speed while I am driving it. Would you have any idea why is this heppening? Is there a part which needs to be replaced i.e speedometer or there might be something else?

the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) needs to be tested or replaced
