2003 Renault Laguna

I have a Renault Laguna II and the Radio is very static sound. I thought it may be the aerial and a bad earth etc. How do i check it, and how do I get the aerial off. It is located in the rear roof.

Remove the plastic cover over the ariel mounting on the roof there will be an earth wire connected to the chassis on the mounting screws .... hope this helps
