I took my car into the garage to have some new supension springs fitted, the mechanic noticed that the rev counter was to idle so it was adjusted, when I drove the car home it was reving far to high over 3000 rpm which is not right!

Could you tell me what this problem could be and can the revs be adjusted?

thanks

Lisa.
