Noises problem

Dear professionals,
I am driving Renault Espace for the last 3 years and also recently Ihave changed a lot of things like Air, oil, fuel filter, distribution set. When I try to start the engine, sometimes it does not maybe because of the battery. But even while I am on the highway I try to accelerate but nothing happens and the car comes to a halt. I wait a little while and start again, it starts and again after sometime it stops. What can be the problem. Also the noise I am getting after I start is not normal. It is bit louder. Please suggest if you can.
