Everytime I get in to my car and pull off as soon as I turn the steering wheel in either direction their is a knocking sound which sounds like a plastoc noise coming from the dash through the steering wheel, if I go at slow speed and have to turn the steering to enter in or come out from a side road you can hear a click sound which happens on the turn but not on the release of the steering wheel, their is also a grinding feel which happens whether the click sound occurs or not pot holes seems to add to the noise occuring and if I slightly push the steering wheel in to the dash a one of click sound will occur. I can prevent this noise from occuring by adjusting the steering wheel height by moving the steering to a different position but this gets quite frustrating.
i have taken it to renault and have explaned the problem to them but maybe cause my car is under warrenty is a reason why they keep telling me this is normal?
can you please advise on what this may be.
