Hi, I have smoke coming from underneath the catalytic converter and has a smell of burning. I have come to the point I dont know wats wrong with it:(
i have took it to the garage on many occasions and still they say its an oil leak but they dont know where its coming from and have advised me that if the take the gasket off and check if the oil leak is coming from their it may cost me £300- £400.

do u have any idea wat the problem is? :(

I would suggest you have the engine cleaned of all the old dirt/oil/grime to try and discover where the leak is coming from ... it will be much easier to locate on a clean engine ... in my opinion the garage should have done this to discover where the leak is coming from ?? a much simpler and cheaper option than stripping parts off ?

hope this helps

Small oil leaks are notoriuosly hard to find !! cleaning the engine then running as usual for a few days should reveal where the leak is coming from ??

hope this helps
