Removing the center console window switches

I can not get the switches out of the center console. I am prying up with a small flat bar but I am afraid of breaking something and then the new switches will be flopping around in there. How do I get the old switches out with out damaging the center console?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros. Com. Basically, you are doing it correctly. Here are the specific directions for you vehicle. Just be careful.

Removal proceedure:
Use a flat-bladed screwdriver in order to pry the power window switch outward.
Disconnect the power window switch wire harness.
Remove the power window switch.
Installation proceedure:
Connect the power window switch wire harness.
Install the power window switch. Ensure the unit is retained.

I have attached a picture of the assembly so you can see what you are taking apart. Hopefully, it will put you at ease once you see it.
