I have had two people try to change my spark plugs so far, after removing the wires and lifting the cover, the rubber "boots" (ignition coils) are exposed and no matter what these guys cannot get them out to get to the spark plugs! Please help! Desperate. Nobody seems to know how to get the ignition coils out.

There is a tool you need to pull the coils out or someone with very strong hands to pull up on them once the screws are removed. Posting image of the tool. You may need to go to the dealer for this one or at least a Volkswagen specialist.
