Removing a back window

I'm having a hard time sliding the white tab that holds the window onto the crank. What can I do to make your side easy?

Hi,

I believe you are referring to the slide sash clips. There is a retaining clip that needs depressed for them to come apart. See directions and pic below.

Here are the directions specific to the replacement of the rear side window. The attached pics correlate with the directions.

Removal Procedure

See pic 1

1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Coupe) (See: Rear Door Panel > Removal and Replacement > Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Coupe))Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Sedan/Wagon) (See: Rear Door Panel > Removal and Replacement > Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Sedan/Wagon)). The outer panel is removed in the illustration to show the location.
2. Remove the inner belt seal molding.
3. Remove the door frame inner seal fixed glass assembly.
4. Partially remove the water deflector to access the openings in the door structure.
5. Lower the door window for access to the sash slide clips.
6. Depress the retaining clips and slide the window insulators (slide clips) from the window.
7. Rotate the window, push up, and then remove from the door.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the door window into the door and align the sash with the window insulator (slide clips).
2. Slide the sash onto the insulators.
3. Reinstall the door frame inner seal.
4. Install the inner belt seal. Check the window for proper operation.
5. Install the water deflector. 6. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Coupe) (See: Rear Door Panel > Removal and Replacement > Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Coupe))Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Sedan/Wagon) (See: Rear Door Panel > Removal and Replacement > Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Sedan/Wagon)).
