Hello,

I have included the information that you have requested in the diagrams down below. Please go through the revised instructions from the Ford Motor Company and get back to us with how it goes, please.

Thanks,
Alex

In several places I've checked I've noticed they want you to remove the engine mount to raise the engine for better access. Do you recommend that? I have done every step up to putting the lift beneath the car (with a wood block on the oil pan) but not sure I can loosen the motor mount bolts. I am also afraid to try for fear of messing it up! Any other ideas or what tools do you recommend? I have been at it all day but can't find a way to remove the pulley/water pump with the limited space. Ford didn't always have "a better idea!" LOL Why did they put the pump there? GRRRR

Hello again,

To get at the motor mount bolts I would suggest using a 1/2" drive ratchet with a six point socket, and if needed an extension. If it is tough breaking free use a cheater bar/pipe. This is simply nothing more than a stout piece of pipe that your ratchet handle will fit into. More leverage " more power. As for why the water pump was there sometimes, like my mustang, a car can be a four letter word, FORD. LOL. (I own a Ford as well ;0.

Thanks,
Alex
